"I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."

The Bible isn’t about rules; it’s about Jesus

heisworthyblessthelord:

It’s designed to be used in the context of relationship. The goal in reading the Word shouldn’t be to get to a certain chapter, but to meet Jesus along the way.

jspark3000:

Whenever someone asks me my opinion about gay people, or people who support abortion, or people who picket funerals, or people of other religions, or transgender people, or overly religious people, I usually say, “You mean what do I think about people?  Well I’m a people too, and we’re all pretty screwed up.  And I think we all need Jesus.”

God loves people.  We’re all invited.  End of story.

Photo credit @pepperpapaw (Go follow if you like Christian posts) The bible doesn’t say, “Go and sin more.” Instead, the bible says “Repent of your old ways and come to Jesus.” Jesus didn’t die and bleed out on the cross you could feel sorry for yourself for your mistakes and then go back and keep doing those mistakes. Jesus wants you to repent/turn away of your old ways and he wants you to have a relationship with him and to live a life with as little sin as possible. Jesus has been reaching his hand out to you your whole life, but will you grab it? #repentance #jesus #jesuslovesyou #repent #christ #christian #sin
